Exhibition Brief

Living alone in Tokyo for a month, LOKKI drew over a hundred sketches inspired by the encounters and emotions of an unfamiliar environment. His works capture intimate imagery of fetish scene, exploring the overlap and contradictions between love and desire. Through this, he invites visitor to confront their own incompleteness and seek the yearning for genuine love behind the shadows.

The exhibition continues his signature expressionist style, utilizing portable charcoal, pencils, oil pastels, hundreds of sheets of paper, and even café napkins as materials. Bold lines and depictions of inner imagery create a painting style that conveys a tension of closeness and distance, alongside raw, surging emotions.

“Personal fetishes might reflect a complex emotional state. If this pleasure stems from our incompleteness, could we instead explore a more complete form of love within ourselves?” With this question, LOKKI presents FETISH, hoping to review self- incompleteness and discover a grounded way of living—an inward journey toward self-acceptance.
