Description

The space depicted in the painting is a private realm of imagination. The artist expresses their feelings and perspectives on memories, believing that each memory is unique. Within this memory space, the recollections created with another person resemble a beautiful dance. Together, they share a moment where beauty can feel eternal. Even amid regret and impermanence, these weighty memories evoke warmth and passion, providing tangible and real sensations of comfort for the artist.

Artist Statement

After untangling my inner conflicts and reconciling with various traumatic memories, I began to accept the impermanence and confusion of goodbyes. I realized I no longer spiral into endless anxiety and unease over separations; instead, I can purely celebrate those who have entered my life.

In this artwork, I depict a space of memories that, while tinged with regret, remains beautiful and joyful. In this safe and comfortable realm, we can fondly reminisce about the moments we once danced together. What we embrace is no longer a suffocating sense of possession, but rather a simple appreciation for the beauty these memories provide.
