Artist Statement
This painting depicts a projection of primal desire. One night, as I painted into the early morning, I caught sight of a chair in my peripheral vision and suddenly found its form quite sensual.
In expressing desire, I aim to clarify my own feelings within this series. In relationships, it's essential to understand and articulate your inner desires and needs. Through this exploration, gaining a clear stance allows you to boldly express your needs to those you care about. For me, this reflects a capacity for self-assertion that I often lack. As someone once told me, "Articulate your needs; otherwise, neither you nor the people you love will understand your true feelings."
